Seasonal Crop Yield Under AFC/MOFA Programme

Together with our sister companies, Africa Fertilizer has also imported and distributed about 50,000 MT of fertilizers in various West African countries and in sections of the Northern and Southern parts of Ghana over the last 3 years. In 2020, imported and distributed 1,400MT of NPK 11-22-21 and 600 MT of Urea under the PFJ 2020 campaign. The fertilizer distribution programme was facilitated through a strategic alliance with OCP Ghana Ltd under the AgriBooster Programme they run jointly with MOFA. AFC was able to distribute its MOFA allocation in 5 weeks.

AFC additionally formed strategic alliances with several established distributors and aggregators
during the 2020 PFJ season. The company has entered MOUs with OCP Ghana Ltd, Louis Dreyfus Company Ltd, Agrisolve Ltd and USAID’s Advance Programme – the three agreements give us direct access to over 100,000+ farmers in the Savannah and Forest Transitional Zones in Ghana. We are beefing up our distribution footprint to enable us to source and deliver products directly to the farmers. The imported fertilizer will be housed in a warehouse in Tema and distributed under a collateralized management arrangement.
